WELCOME

Welcome to Styx River Parrot Rescue, a 501c3 tax exemption Non-profit Organization. We provide a safe, permanent, happy space for any exotic and non indigenous bird species in need of a forever home. Though we are not yet open to the public, we are taking in birds and donations.

The second phase of our mission is piloting a program to utilize birds as service animals for the treatment of PTSD in veterans, first responders, battered women and others suffering in silence.

Ren faire 2025

We had an awesome time at the Renaissance Faire in Robertsdale Al. With a bunch of the birds this past weekend. Posting some pics. Exciting news

We have some exciting news to tell y'all. We are piloting a program to have certain species of birds recognized as an emotional support animal for the treatment of PTSD. We got invited to go to the VFW in Mobile to tell them what we're doing and meet Admiral Davis who is the CEO of Vets Recovery. He is very interested in what we're doing and wants to possibly do a collaboration. I also met another gentleman that wants us to come to Saraland VFW on December 14th for us to do
